Circus Diablo is an American alternative rock band formed in early 2006 by Billy Morrison on vocals and rhythm guitar, Billy Duffy on lead guitar, and Ricky Warwick on rhythm guitar. The group began writing songs at Morrison's home studio. Matt Sorum joined as a drummer for their debut album recording, while Brett Scallions and Jeremy Colson were added for live performances. In 2007, they signed with Koch Records and released their self-titled debut album Circus Diablo. The release received critical acclaim from Allmusic's Jo-Ann Greene and featured the track "Loaded", which reached number 20 on the Billboard charts. The band performed at Ozzfest 2007 but dropped out due to two guitarists' wives being pregnant. Following lineup changes, including Rob Patterson on lead guitar, Patrick Cornell on bass, and Charles Ruggiero on drums, the band remained inactive after December 2007.
