Christine Guldbrandsen, born March 19, 1985, in Bergen, Norway, is a singer known for her work in folk, pop, and crossover music. She began singing at age three and was discovered by Kjetil Fluge at 13. At 15, she performed "Kulturbyåpningen" in Bergen, securing her first record deal with Sony Music Entertainment. Her debut album Surfing in the Air (2003) sold 30,000 copies and earned her a Gold record. Notable songs include "The Far End" and "Fly Away". She represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 with "Alvedansen", placing at number 14. Her third studio album Christine (2007) received positive reviews from Norwegian media.
