Biography

Chris Combette, born in 1957 in Cayenne, French Guiana, is a French singer. He discovered his passion for music during his adolescence in Fort-de-France, Martinique. In the early 1970s, Chris Combette formed his first band, Les Agils. His musical journey continued with the formation of Cristal and Silence in 1984, during which he released his first single, "Pas ça". In 1990, Combette embarked on a solo career, releasing Plein Sud in 1995. His second album, Salambo, followed in 1996, earning him the SACEM Martinique award for best composer with the song "Lè Siel Si Ba". Combette's subsequent albums include La Danse De Flore (2003). Notable collaborations include "On n'oublie pas" with Alpha Blondy, Tanya Saint-Val, and other artists.
