The Chris Buck Band is a country music group formed in British Columbia, Canada. Founded by singer, songwriter, and namesake Chris Buck, the group became a popular live act and began to attract attention in Canadaâs flourishing country music scene. They released their debut single, âCaribbean Dream,â in 2013. The single paved the way for the groupâs self-released debut album, Buck Wild, which was released in 2014. That year, they won the Country Club Act of the Year award from the Columbia Country Music Association (BCCMA). In 2015 the Chris Buck Band won both the Country Club Act of the Year and the Group / Duo of the Year honors at the BCCMA Awards. Signing to the Royalty Records label, the Chris Buck Band released their self-titled album in 2017. The album included three Top 40 singles â âLeave Your Light On,â âGiddy Up,â and âSun Sets Downâ â as well as âThatâs When You Knowâ (featuring Kira Isabella), which hit number 19. Their third album, All In, was released in 2019 and included the Top 40 hit âGood Old Days.â At that yearâs BCCMA Awards, Chris Buck was honored with the Songwriter of the Year Award. After signing with the Sakamoto Music label, the Chris Buck Band released the album Answers (2023), which included the singles âCanât Beat the View,â âThank God for Good Friends,â âWild and Free,â and âSheâs Gone.â Answers earned the group the Album of the Year honors at the 2023 BCCMA Awards. In 2024, the Chris Buck Band released the single âCowboy Boots,â a collaboration with Australian-Canadian country singer Gord Bamford.
