Biography

Doc Walker is a Canadian country music group formed in Westbourne, Manitoba, in 1996. The band began with the release of Good Day to Ride in 1997, followed by Curve in 2001, both on independent labels, before signing with Open Road Recordings. Their breakthrough came with the single "I Am Ready" from the 2003 album Everyone Aboard, which reached the top 20 on Canadian country charts. Subsequent albums-Doc Walker (2006), Beautiful Life (2008), Go (2009), 16 & 1 (2011), The 8th (2014), and Weathervane (2017)-saw steady radio play and touring across Canada. Doc Walker earned multiple Canadian Country Music Awards, including Best Group in 2004, and remained active until their final tour in 2018.
