Biography

Chon Seungwoo, born on July 23, 1974, in Seoul, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, drummer, and music producer known for his versatility across rock, K-ballad, and R&B genres. He debuted in 1995 as the drummer of the project rock band Cult, later launching his solo career in 1996. Over the years, he has contributed as both performer and producer, writing and composing for top artists such as SES (“Just a Feeling”), BigBang (“A Fool Only Cries”), IU (“Alone in the Room”), Wheesung (“A Story That Can’t Be Told”), and Fly to the Sky (“Habit”). In 2004, he joined the R&B vocal group XO and has continued to work as a solo artist and producer. His recent works include the ballads “Endless Tears” (2024) and “Memorise #3” (2025).
