Biography

South Korean musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer Choi Jung-hoon (Hangul: 최정훈; born March 10, 1992) is an indie-oriented artist best known as the frontman and chief scribe of South Korean indie-rock band Jannabi. Born on 10 March 1997 in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province, Choi Jung-hoon became interested in music at a young age and was largely inspired to pursue a music path after seeing Elton John perform live. He made his debut with Jannabi via the release of the "Rocket" single in 2014 and in 2018 began laying down the foundations for a successful solo career by first appearing on "Lilac" from Changmo's EP The Moment of Contact and two years later releasing "For the Gone" alongside Code Kunst and Simon Dominic. He has since released a string of solo singles, including 2021's "Dance in the Dark" and "Midnight Music"—a remake of the same track by South Korean punk band No Brain—along with 2022's "Until I love the love," "Ddak" with Ju Hee Park and "Because we loved" with Kang Min Kyung.
