Biography
Chiquito Team Band, a celebrated Dominican salsa orchestra, was founded in 2012 by seasoned musicians Rafael Berroa (Chiquito Timbal) and Enmanuel FrÃas (Manuel Piano), who each brought over 20 years of experience in Dominican popular music. Known for their albums La Industria Salsera (2014) and Los Creadores del Sonido (2018), the group quickly rose to prominence with hits like "Si quieres," "Lejos de ti," "Punto y aparte," and "La llamada de mi ex," making them a staple in salsa music. Their success earned them notable nominations, including a 2018 Latin Grammy nomination for Best Salsa Album and back-to-back Billboard Latin Music Award nominations in 2017 and 2018 for Tropical Artist of the Year, Duo or Group. They have also received multiple Soberano and Conga Awards for Best Salsa Orchestra in the Dominican Republic. Chiquito Team Bandâs dynamic sound has taken them to major stages, such as Madison Square Garden and Salsa Fest in Veracruz. Their third studio album, A Nuestro Estilo, featuring popular singles like "Perdóname," "No te hago falta," "Basta ya," and "Detalles," arrived in 2024.
