Chevy y Su Caliente is a Peru-based timba and salsa-tropical project led by singer and producer Yojhan Escamilo Cartagena, known as Chevy, whose core lineup paired his lead vocals with backing vocalist and co-producer Diego Joya and a live timba band documented almost entirely through 2025 recordings. The group’s first officially released recording appeared on July 31, 2025 with the two-track EP Una Sesión Caliente, Vol. 1 (En vivo), featuring the live cuts "Intro (En vivo)" and "Que Vuelvas (En vivo)". On August 19, 2025, the band released the single "YO TE VOY A AMAR (En vivo)", while a separate single on the same date, "Qué Es Lo Que Quiere Esa Nena (En vivo)", further expanded their live salsa catalogue. The group then issued "Ansias (Live)" on August 29, 2025, an extended live arrangement that quickly became one of their most popular tracks. On October 23, 2025 the project released the single "PRIMERA CITA (La Caperucita)", written by Alejandro Lozano and produced by Chevy y Su Caliente with Escamilo on lead vocals. In parallel with these audio releases, the group maintained a live performance video series under the Una Sesión Caliente banner on its official YouTube channel, premiering session-style clips for "Ansias (Live)", "YO TE VOY A AMAR (En vivo)" and "Qué Es Lo Que Quiere Esa Nena (En vivo)".
