Biography
Son Tentación, a Peruvian girlband formed in 2002 in Lima under the direction of singer and dancer Paula Arias. Throughout their career, Son Tentación has featured various members that went on to have successful carees of their own, including Yahaira Plasencia, Suu Rabanal, Angie Chávez, Kate Candela, Daniela Darcourt, Asmir Young, Amy Gutiérrez, Briela Cirilo, Kiara Franco, Mirella Paz, Gretell Sarabia, Mariale Salazar, Narda Pumaraca, and Sonali Oré. The group initially performed cumbia but transitioned to salsa by 2012, gaining national success amidst the genre's popularity surge. Their debut single "A fuego" was released in April 2014, followed by their first official album Auténticas in May of the same year. Notable tracks from this period include "Qué fácil se te hizo olvidarme" and "Soltera.com". The band continued to release albums such as Nuestra Historia (2018) and A Fuego... (2018), as well as the live releases Live Session 2023 (2024), and 12 Aniversario (2025).
