Born on June 10, 1994, in Guasave, Sinaloa, ChayÃn Rubio (real name Kevin Rubio Gutiérrez) is a Mexican singer-songwriter who has built a name in the regional Mexican scene by blending heartfelt lyricism with mariachi and norteño traditions. He began singing as a child in school choirs and taught himself guitar and bajo sexto as a teen, eventually forming a local group before traveling across northern Mexico to perform. After signing with Latin Power Music, ChayÃn Rubio debuted in 2015 with the single âYa No Aguanto,â gaining wider recognition in 2018 with his viral cover of Reikâs âYa Me Enteréâ and the release of his first album El Ahijado Consentido, which also featured âSecuelas De Amorâ and â¿Y Cómo Le Hago?â He followed up with collaborations like âNegocio y Amistadâ with El Komander, âTequilaâ and âQuisiera Tenerteâ with 3BallMTY, and âVete Yaâ with Banda Guasaveña. In 2019, he released his second album Mi Sueño, led by tracks like âLa Dosis Perfectaâ and âHace Tiempo,â and later joined the Mexillennials collective on hits such as â¿Cómo Te Atreves?â and âSeñora, Señora.â His third LP, Las Canciones Que Me Gustan (2020), included fan favorites like âAmor del Buenoâ and âTe Fuiste de AquÃ.â ChayÃn Rubio has continued evolving his style with singles like âPregúntale,â âSe Olvidóâ (Mariachi version), and â¿Por Qué Te Vas de MÃ?â (2022), cementing his place among the genreâs new generation. Renacer, his fifth studio album, arrived in 2022 and was followed by El Mejor in 2024.
