Charles Bernard Major, known as Charlie Major, was born on December 31, 1954, in Aylmer, Quebec. He is a Canadian country music singer who knew he wanted to be a musician by the age of 19. His debut album, The Other Side, released in Canada in 1993, featured six singles that all reached Number 1 on the RPM Country chart. Major won the Juno Award for Country Male Vocalist of the Year consecutively in 1994 and 1995. He has recorded several studio albums, including Lucky Man, Everything's Alright, 444, Inside Out, Shadows and Light, On the Evening Side, and Here and Now. Notable songs include "I'm Gonna Drive You Out of My Mind", "The Other Side", and "Some Days Are Better". In 2019, Major was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.
