Chae Jung-an, born Jang Jung-an on October 21, 1977, in Busan, South Korea, is a multifaceted entertainer known for her roles as an actress, model, and singer. Graduating from Dongguk University with a major in Theater and Film, She has carved out a significant presence in the entertainment industry since her debut. She first gained recognition in 1995 after winning a major award at a beauty contest sponsored by Johnson's Cosmetics, which led to her modeling career. She ventured into acting with her television debut in 1996 and simultaneously established herself as a CM model appearing in numerous Korean commercials. Her acting prowess became widely recognized after her role in the popular 2007 drama Coffee Prince where she starred alongside Yoon Eun-hye and Gong Yoo. Her music career also flourished when she released the dance track "Letter" in 2000, earning her the title of a "Sexy Star" and significantly boosting her popularity. Over the years, she has transitioned between various management companies, signing with BETTER ENT in 2013 and then with Lucky Company in 2016.
