Kim Hyun-jung (Korean: 김현정, born April 4, 1976) is a South Korean pop singer known for her powerful voice and energetic dance music. Dubbed the "Long-legged Singer" for her tall, striking appearance, Kim began her career in the music industry with a background in heavy metal, bringing a unique edge to her pop performances. She debuted in 1997 with her first album, Legend, featuring the hit "Breakup with Her," a fast-tempo song that catapulted her to stardom. Her following single, "Lonely Love," also became a fan favorite, helping solidify her presence in the Korean pop scene. Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, Kim consistently released successful albums, including A Seagull of Dream (1999) and The Third Eye (2000), marked by her distinctively high voice and dynamic stage presence. She continued evolving her sound with albums like Diet (2002) and Hit for 6ix (2003). Known for her blend of pop and dance tracks, she has released singles across genres, such as the 2005 cover of Lipps Inc.'s "Funky Town."
