Biography

Born in Allentown (Pennsylvania, USA) on November 1, 1996 and deceased in Tucson (Arizona) on November 15, 2017, rapper Gustav Elijah Ähr aka Lil Peep made a name for himself in the underground scene before breaking through in 2017 with the album Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1. His emo rock-influenced rap adapts to the trends of the moment, trap and cloud rap, combined with tormented lyrics that seduce an ever-widening audience with the mixtapes Lil Peep, Pt. 1 and Live Forever (2015), then Crybaby and Hellboy the following year. The singularity of his style and personality sparked a craze when his debut album was released, charting at #38 on Billboard. His fame became a cult following when he died of an accidental overdose of Fentanyl and Xanax while on tour. He left behind unreleased tracks such as "Spotlight","4 Gold Chains" and the duet "Falling Down " with XXXTentacion (shot dead on June 18, 2018), ranked #13 in October 2018. The following month saw the release of a second posthumous album, Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2, which reached #4 in the US, #19 in the UK, as well as in several European countries.
