Biography
Cary Hudson, born in 1963 in Sumrall, Mississippi, is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He began his musical journey with the band the Hilltops before forming Blue Mountain, which featured notable members such as Frank Coutch and Laurie Stirratt. After Blue Mountain disbanded following Hudson's divorce from Stirratt, he launched a solo career under Black Dog Records, releasing The Phoenix in 2002 and Cool Breeze in 2004. His third album, Bittersweet Blues (2006), showcased his acoustic talents and included the XM Radio hit "Berlin Blues". He reunited with Blue Mountain in 2007 and was named one of the top alt.country guitarists by Gibson magazine in 2008. He refocused on his solo career after Blue Mountain's dissolution in 2013, releasing Town and Country in 2014 and continuing to tour.
