Carl William Bell, born on January 9, 1967, in Kenton, Tennessee, is an American songwriter, record producer, arranger, engineer, and mixer. He founded the Pennsylvania-based hard rock band Fuel in 1989, serving as principal lyricist, lead guitarist, and producer. Bell wrote Fuel's singles including "Shimmer", "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)", and "Bad Day". He co-produced each of Fuel's albums, including the Grammy Award-nominated Natural Selection (2003). "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" became the Number 1 Active Rock song for 12 weeks and was ranked as the number 5 Rock Song of the Decade by Billboard's Best of the 2000s Rock Songs Charts. After departing from Fuel in 2010, Bell focused on working with various artists and producing TV and movie soundtracks. He returned to Fuel in 2021 for their album Anomaly, which he wrote, produced, and mixed.
