Biography
Carcrash International was an English post-punk band formed in 1983, associated with the Batcave scene. Founded by Dave Roberts, also known as Dave Sex Gang, their initial appearance was on the compilation album The Whip with the title track "The Whip" credited to Dave Sex Gang. Later that year, Carcrash International released their own version of "The Whip" as a single. The band's lineup evolved over time, featuring members like Matthew Best on drums and various guitarists including Lester Jones and Stephanie Paynes. In 1984, they released the single "All Passion Spent", followed by the 12" single "Crash" in 1985. Carcrash International's sole full-length studio album, Fragments of a Journey in Hell, was released in 1993 on Cleopatra Records. Following the release, the band performed a promotional concert in San Francisco in 1994 before disbanding the following year.
