Biography

Bryn Christopher, born 8 November 1985 in Great Barr, Birmingham, England, is a British singer‑songwriter who emerged from the Italia Conti Stage School and a contestant on Popstars: The Rivals. After supporting Amy Winehouse in late 2007, he released his debut single "The Quest" on 8 June 2008 through Polydor Records; the track was featured in the closing scene of Grey's Anatomy season four, increasing his exposure in the United States. In September 2008 the same label issued his debut studio album My World, produced with Midi Mafia and featuring samples from the Stax Records catalogue. The album spawned the singles "Smilin" (reached number 31 in the UK) and "Fearless", though the latter did not chart. Christopher’s subsequent releases included the digital‑only single "Taken Me Over" in August 2009, after which he departed Polydor and signed with Geffen Records UK. In the following years he contributed to tracks for Sigala, Sub Focus, and Knife Party, and co‑wrote "City Lights" for Culture Shock. In 2012 he joined the electronic group I See Monstas, achieving a UK chart position of number 48 with "Holdin' On". Throughout his career, Bryn Christopher has maintained a focus on songwriting and collaborations across soul and electronic genres, achieving multiple chart placements and industry recognition.
