Bruno RÃ¥berg, born on July 13, 1954, in Sweden, is a jazz musician and educator known for his work as a bassist and composer. Raised in rural Sweden, RÃ¥berg's early career began when he joined Eje Thelinâs band at the age of 20, touring Europe and the USA with them. In 1976, he performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival and collaborated with notable artists such as Bobo Stenson and Monica Zetterlund. RÃ¥berg moved to the United States in 1981, earning a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory in 1984. He then became an Associate Professor at the Berklee College of Music. Throughout his career, RÃ¥berg has collaborated with prominent musicians including Jerry Bergonzi and Sam Rivers, and released several albums such as Orbis (1996) and Chrysalis (2004). He has also performed at various international jazz festivals.
