Break of Reality, an American cello rock band, was formed in 2003 at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. The group was originally made up of four cellists. Their final lineup includes three cellists (Patrick Laird, Laura Metcalf, Adrianâ¯Daurov) and percussionist Ivan Trevino. In 2006, they released their debut album The Sound Between. After graduation, they moved to New York City in 2007 and built a following by busking in Central Park. The band split in 2008, leaving only Laird and Trevino, who released Spectrum of the Sky in May 2009. The band gained further attention when their cover of the Game of Thrones theme song appeared on the Huffington Post in 2013.
