Dalvin La MelodÃa is the stage name of Dominican bachata singer and songwriter Dalvin Antonio Núñez Vargas, born in 2003 in Santo Domingo. He first sang in his local church choir alongside his father while studying at Escuela Básica Mi Bandera, and worked as a corner-store delivery worker, shoeshiner, and taxi driver before entering the music industry. His career took a professional turn in early 2024 when he met guitarist, arranger, and producer Michael Quevedo, also known as Mikey Touch, who helped build the team behind his first studio recordings. These included the Yoskar Sarante tribute âPensando en Ellaâ and âPor Ti,â his first original single. Later in 2024, Dalvin La MelodÃa released âMi Reina,â also distributed as âMy Queen.â Written by MartÃn Aquino and arranged by Wilson Quevedo and Mikey Touch, the song surpassed 20 million views within its first year and became his signature hit in the Dominican Republic and among bachata audiences abroad. Building on that momentum, he released âTesoro Perdido,â âYa Me Enteré (En Vivo),â âTe Lo Agradezco (Cover),â and âChiquilla Bonita (Cover)â in 2025, the latter a bachata version of the Marco Antonio SolÃs classic. That year also brought the self-titled album Dalvin La MelodÃa and âAntes y Después,â a collaboration with El Chaval de la Bachata. His profile widened further when Romeo Santos and Prince Royce featured him on âMenor,â the only guest collaboration on their 2025 album Better Late Than Never. In 2026, Dalvin La MelodÃa continued with âSuéltenla,â âAmnesia,â and the 14-track live album Live Concert, reinforcing his place among the new Dominican bachata voices to emerge in the mid-2020s. âChiquilla Bonita,â one of the tracks from the LP, reached number 24 on the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
