The group originally traded under the name Cacumen before changing their name to Bonfire. Their debut album Don't Touch the Light is released in 1986, followed by Fireworks in 1987, which achieves greater fame with hits such as "Sleeping All Alone" and "Champion". in 1989, the band released the album Point Blank, which further consolidated their melodic hard rock style. Over the years, there are several line-up changes, but Hans Ziller remains a constant member.
