Biography
Blue Encount are a J-pop and rock band formed in Kumamoto in 2004 with singer-guitarist Tanabe Shunichi, guitarist Eguchi Yuuya, bassist Tsujimura Yuuta and drummer Takamura Yoshihide. Their debut EP 'the beginning of the beginning' came out in 2010 and they followed with 'Halo Effect' (2012), 'Noisy Slugger' (2013) and 'Timeless Rookie' (2014). They released their first studio album, 'Band of Destination' in 2014 and later 'The End' (2017) and 'Vector' (2018).
Singles include 'DayxDay', which went to number 25 on Billboard's Japan Hot 100 in 2015; 'Hajimari' (2016); 'Survivor' (2016); 'Daijoubu' (2016) and 'Last Hero' (2016), which peaked at number 30 on the Japan Hot 100. Other singles include 'Sayonara' (2017), 'VS' (2017), 'Freedom' (2018) and 'Bad Paradox' (2019). They released an EP titled 'Sick(s)' in 2019. Their schedule was to include Shishamo & King Gnu - Wild Bunch Fest in Yamaguchi, Monster BaSH 2019 in Nakatdogun, Sweet Love Shower 2019 in Yamanashi and venues across Japan.
