Biography

Black Tide, an American heavy metal band from Kendall, Florida, was formed in 2004 by Gabriel García and his brother Raúl García. Initially known as Radio, the band changed its name to Black Tide and began performing locally. Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut album Light From Above in 2008, through Interscope Records, when lead vocalist and guitarist Gabriel García was just 15 years old. The album debuted at number 73 on the Billboard 200 and included notable singles such as "Shockwave". Following this success, Black Tide toured extensively with acts like Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet For My Valentine. Their second album, Post Mortem, was released in 2011, featuring the single "Walking Dead Man". On July 22, 2016, Gabriel García announced the disbandment of Black Tide via Instagram.
