Enos McLeod is a Jamaican reggae singer and producer born in 1946 in Trenchtown, Kingston. Before entering the music industry, he trained as a cabinet-maker and a competitive boxer. He debuted with the single âMackieâ and gained early success producing Lloyd Clarke's late 1960s release âYoung Loveâ. McLeod became a prominent producer, working with Gregory Isaacs and Ken Boothe, and he notably gave the stage name Prince Far I to Michael Williams. In 1975, he produced the Augustus Pablo album Thriller. During the mid-1970s, he worked as a bouncer at Joe Gibbs' studio while recording tracks such as âMoney Worriesâ and his most successful hit, âBy the Lookâ. Under the pseudonym Preacher, he released singles including âBlack Mosesâ and âRhythm Bibleâ. McLeod has been based in Europe since the 1990s. His studio albums include By the Look in Your Eyes and the 2005 release Love of My Life.
