Biography

Gabriel Piotrowski (born in Tours, France on September 27, 1980), known as Biga Ranx is a French ragga hip hop musician. Influenced by reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop, he created the Bandalero Sound System, travelling around France with DJ Atili and steppa group Ondubground. His first album On Time, released in October, 2011, attracted widespread attention which was followed by The World of Biga*Ranx, and in November, a re-release of On Time featuring remixes by artists such as Aphrodite and Tom Fire, who he collaborated with on 2013 album Good Morning Midnight. In March 2015, low-key album Nightbird was released during an extensive European tour and two years later he released 1988, followed by Sunset Cassette (2020). St. Soleil (2021), and Eh Yo!, which peaked at number 54 on the French charts.
