Biography

Daddy Mory, born Mory SamakÃ© in Paris on October 24, 1973, is a French dancehall reggae singer. Between 1995 and 1998, he formed the group Raggasonic with his mate Big Red. The duo scored a number of popular hits, including "J'entends parler", "Bleu blanc rouge"," Faut pas me prendre pour un Ã¢ne" and "Laisse le peuple s'exprimer", which remain emblematic of the French reggae and rap scene of the 1990s. In 1998, Daddy Mory launched a solo career, releasing the studio albums KisdÃ©s 2 (2002), Ma Voix RÃ©sonne (2003) and Reality (2007), featuring compositions strongly influenced by Jamaican dancehall. In 2015, he released the album Travail d'Artiste, featuring Birch, Frenchie and Steven "DJ Genius" McGregor.
