Bia Ferreira is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born on April 19, 1993, in Carangola, Minas Gerais. She established a musical background in an evangelical family, studying piano from age three before attending the Brazilian Music Conservatory. Ferreira began professional activities in 2009 in Aracaju, Sergipe, defining her style as âMMP â Música de Mulher Pretaâ (Black Woman Music). Her recording career featured the 2011 composition âCota Não à Esmolaâ, which became a mandatory study text for several Brazilian universities. In 2018, the discography included the live debut album Ao Vivo and participation in the documentary A Thousand Women. Ferreira released the debut studio album Igreja Lesbiteriana, Um Chamado in 2019, incorporating soul, R&B, and reggae. Her subsequent works featured the single âBoto Féâ (2020) and the 2022 collaboration âAgora Vaiâ.
