Niclas Benjamin Peltonen (April 15, 1997), better known as Benjamin, is a pop singer from Finland who garnered attention with tracks on social media in 2012. His 2014 track âUnderdogsâ went to Number 10 on the Finland singles chart, garnering the attention of Warner Music Finland, who swiftly signed him to their roster. His major-label debut, the EP Square One, saw the light in 2015. He followed up a year later with Fingerprints, which reached Number 17 on the Finnish chart and Number 3 in Spain. In 2018, Benjamin decided to start singing solely in Finnish, a move that paid off considering both of his singles that yearââNaarmujaâ with rapper IBE and âJuon Sut Poisââentered the Finnish Top 5. Someveteraani, his 2020 sophomore effort, reached Number 21 in Finland thanks to the success of singles such as âWWWâ and âTikTok.â 2021 found Benjamin collaborating with fellow singer-songwriter Vesta on the track âKunnes Sammutaan,â an acoustic folk-pop song that climbed to Number 19 on the Official Finnish Charts.
