Biography
Barnbrack are a Northern Irish folk and pop ensemble from Belfast established in 1984. The group consists of the musician Alex Quinn and included the musicians Jimmy McPeake and Eoin McMahon. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized as folk and pop. Their recording career began with the track âBelfastâ (1985) which was written by Quinn and reached number 45 in the United Kingdom. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the tracks âThe Flyâ and âUnicorn Songâ. The ensemble became inactive in 2003 following the death of Quinn's wife. They achieved professional recognition for resuming activity in 2009 for a tour of Northern Ireland.
