Banda MagnÃficos is a Brazilian forró band formed in 1995 in Monteiro, ParaÃba, by musicians connected to José Inácio da Silva, known as Jotinha. Rooted in forró eletrônico and romantic forró, the group began with Todo Dia Te Querer, followed by Meu Tesão à Você in 1996, before reaching a wider audience with Me Usa in 1997. Its classic vocal period brought together Walkyria Santos, Neno, and Luciene Melo, whose voices became tied to many of the bandâs best-known songs. The late 1990s produced some of MagnÃficosâ most enduring material, including âMe Usa,â âApaixonada,â âVerdadeiro Amor,â âFonte dos Desejos,â and âFrente a Frente,â with Banda MagnÃficos (Ao Vivo) in 1998 and Frente a Frente in 1999 helping fix the group as one of the main names of romantic forró in Brazil. The band continued through the 2000s with albums such as MagnÃficos 2000, Tô no Ponto, O Encanto, à Chamego ou Xaveco?, A Preferida do Brasil, and Telefone Fora de Ãrea 2008, maintaining a repertoire built around love songs, accordion-driven melodies, keyboards, and dance rhythms. Later lineups featured singers including Sâmya Maia, OâHara Ravick, Samara Souto, Fernando Frajola, and Larissa Ferreira. In 2023, MagnÃficos recorded the DVD A Preferida do Brasil at Parque do Povo during Campina Grandeâs anniversary celebrations, and the live album followed in 2024. In 2025, the group released Inéditas e Releituras, while 2026 brought new live singles including âAnjo Lindo,â âVocê Nunca Me Amou,â and âMais e Mais.â After Samara Soutoâs departure in 2026, Fernando Frajola and Larissa Ferreira remained at the front of the band.
