Bamses Venner, a Danish musical group formed in 1973, was composed of Flemming Bamse Jørgensen on lead vocals and bass, Mogens Balle on piano/organ, Bjarne Green on guitar, and Arne Ãstergaard on drums. The band's breakthrough came with their participation in the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest, where they represented Denmark with "Tænker altid pÃ¥ dig", finishing fourteenth out of nineteen countries. Throughout their career, Bamses Venner released numerous albums, including Bamses Venner (1975), Mælk og vin (1976), and LyseblÃ¥ dage (1991). Notable songs include "Er du langsom i nat" and "I en lille bÃ¥d der gynger". The band underwent several lineup changes over the years, with Jørgensen remaining a constant presence until his death on January 1, 2011. Following Jørgensen's passing, Bamses Venner disbanded after a series of memorial concerts.
