Bahram Pourmand, known professionally as Bahramji, was born in 1952 in Kermanshah, Iran, and began playing the santur at thirteen, performing locally before leaving Iran in 1977 for studies in India and later settling in Europe. His first releases appeared in the late 1990s, with Sama (1997) marking his entry into the New‑Age scene. In 2004 he issued the album Call of the Mystic featuring the song "Dreamcatcher", and in 2007 the albums Master & Disciple and Sufi Safir. Subsequent works included Celestial Doorways (2012), and Mojud (2022), each blending traditional Persian instrumentation with electronic textures.
