Biography

Lee Jong-min, popularly known as Babylon, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, and dancer born in October 1988. His initial plans were to pursue a rugby career but his interest in music blossomed in high school, leading him to train for three years with Media Line Entertainment before debuting as a member of the idol group N-Train under the stage name Soul J in 2011. Soul J was active until 2013. After that, Lee Jong-min officially adopted the Babylon stage name. He gained traction through mixtapes posted on hip-hop websites. He began collaborating with various artists in the Korean hip-hop scene, including Paloalto and Gaeko. His breakthrough came with the 2015 single "Boys and Girls" with Zico, topping the Circle Digital Chart and selling over 2.5 million copies in South Korea. This success established Babylon as a prominent figure in the R&B genre, alongside artists like Zion.T, Crush, and Dean. In 2016, Babylon signed with KQ Produce and released his single album "Between Us." His debut studio album, Caelo, came out in 2018. This was followed by Hardy in 2021, Ego 90s in 2022, and Colors in 2023. The following year saw the release of his album MOOD, which includes the participation of artists such as DEEPFLOW, Kid Milli, Shai, and various others.
