He is active in the fashion world as a philanthropist and his feature-length documentary Kwon Ji Yong Act III: Motte was released to streaming in September 2018. Later that year, he began mandatory military service and was discharged in October 2019. In 2023, he severed ties with YG Entertainment and signed with Galaxy Corporation while announcing a comeback album. G-Dragon introduced his first new song since 2017, "Power", on You Quiz on the Block on October 30, releasing it the next day alongside news of his deal with Empire Distribution. On November 22, he dropped "Home Sweet Home" featuring Big Bang’s Taeyang and Daesung, which topped South Korea’s Circle Digital Chart. In February 2025, G-Dragon released his third studio album, Übermensch.
