Biography

Lee Seung-hoon (January 11, 1992) is a South Korean rapper, choreographer, and member of the boy band Winner. Born in the city of Busan, he jumped into the public eye in 2011 after participating in the reality show K-pop Star and then became a trainee under YG Entertainment. In 2013, Lee Seung-hoon competed in Mnet’s reality-survival program WIN: Who is Next? as part of Team A, winning the show and securing a spot on the resulting boy group, Winner. Soon enough, the band went on to dominate the charts with titles such as 2014 S/S (2014), Everyday (2018), and Remember (2020), all of which enjoyed great popularity in South Korea. Apart from his music career, Lee Seung-hoon has also appeared in several TV shows such as Eat Sleep Eat in Krabi (2016), Law of the Jungle Mexico (2018), and Dancing High (2020), where he acted as a dance coach/mentor to young teens. In 2020, he enlisted in the South Korean army as part of his mandatory military service and was discharged in early 2022.
