Biography

Baby Jey, an indie rock band from Edmonton, Alberta, was formed in 2015 by Jeremy Witten and Dean Kheroufi. Before forming Baby Jey, Witten released two independent albums under his solo project Jey Witten: Jey Witten (2013) and The Wide Eyed (2014). In 2017, Baby Jey expanded to a four-piece band with the addition of Trevor McNeely and Connor Ellinger. Their debut release, Best Wishes, produced by Renny Wilson, came out in May 2017 and received favorable coverage in Canadian and American music blogs and podcasts. The band toured extensively in Canada and the United States. In September 2018, Baby Jey released Someday Cowboy under Brooklyn label Maintenance Records. Following this release, the band relocated to Brooklyn, New York. On September 21, 2023, they released their single "What's the Point of Saying Sorry" as a lead-off track from their album Crop Circles (2023).
