Biography

Frank Black and the Catholics was formed in 1997 by Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV (also known as Frank Black). The band originated from the United States. The group was a continuation of Black's solo career following his time with the Pixies. Their debut album Frank Black and the Catholics was released in 1998, featuring singles such as "I Gotta Move" and "All My Ghosts". They released the albums Pistolero (1999) and Dog in the Sand (2001), as well as the unreleased album Sunday Sunny Mill Valley Groove Day (2000). Their final studio album, Show Me Your Tears, was released in 2003, the same year they dissolved. Several live albums were subsequently released, including The Complete Recordings in 2015.
