Biography

AxeWound is a British-Canadian groove metal supergroup that formed in 2012. The ensemble consists of the vocalist Liam Cormier, the rhythm guitarist Matt Tuck, the lead guitarist Mike Kingswood, the bassist Joe Copcutt, and the drummer Jason Bowld. They achieved an early breakthrough in 2012 with their debut single, âPost Apocalyptic Partyâ, which was released as a free download. Their debut studio album, Vultures, was released (2012) through the label Search and Destroy Records and featured a guest performance by the guitarist Synyster Gates. The recording was well-received, earning a five-star review from Artistdirect. Although the group announced they were working on a second studio album in 2013, the project remains unreleased and the band is currently inactive.
