After the Burial, an American progressive metalcore band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was founded in 2004 by Nick Wellner, Trent Hafdahl, Justin Lowe, and Greg Erickson. The group's first album, Forging a Future Self, was released in 2006, via Corrosive Records. After the Burial signed with Sumerian Records in 2008, releasing their second album, Rareform. In late 2008, the band supported Suicide Silence on The Cleansing the Nation Tour and co-headlined a U.S. tour with Veil of Maya in early 2009. Their third full-length album, In Dreams, was released through Sumerian Records in 2010. In April 2013, the band released a re-mastered version of "A Steady Decline" and announced their fourth studio album, Wolves Within. On July 21, 2015, founding member Justin Lowe was found dead under the Soo Line High Bridge. The band's fifth full-length album, Dig Deep, was released in 2016.
