Biography

Winds of Plague, an American symphonic deathcore band from Upland, California, was formed in 2002. Initially named Bleak December, the group changed their name to Winds of Plague in April 2005, inspired by a lyric from Unearth's "Endless". Their debut album Decimate the Weak was released in 2008 under Century Media Records. The band gained recognition for incorporating symphonic elements into their deathcore music. Subsequent albums included The Great Stone War (2009), Against the World ( 2011), and Resistance ( 2013). Notable songs include "Approach the Podium", "Chest and Horns" from The Great Stone War, and "Refined in the Fire" and "California" from Against The World. Winds of Plague toured extensively with bands such as Despised Icon, Parkway Drive, and Danzig.
