Biography
New England is an American rock group from Boston formed in 1978. The band consists of John Fannon, Jimmy Waldo, Hirsh Gardner, and Gary Shea. They were discovered by Kiss manager Bill Aucoin, and their debut album, New England (1979), was produced by Paul Stanley and Mike Stone. The single âDon't Ever Wanna Lose Yaâ (1979) reached number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the single âHello, Hello, Helloâ (1979) reached number 69. Their discography includes the albums Explorer Suite (1980) and Walking Wild (1981). Following Fannon's departure in 1982, the remaining members formed the group Warrior with Vinnie Vincent. Their recordings were later released as the album Warrior (2017). The group reunited in 2002 to record the song âMore Than You'll Ever Knowâ (2002). Their recordings include the live album Greatest Hits Live (2003) and the single âI Know There's Something Hereâ (2015). Gardner was inducted into the New England Music Hall of Fame in 2023.
