Biography

Arbe Garbe is an Italian folk rock group from Frioul, formed in 1994. The band's music blended punk folk and rock, with lyrics primarily in Friulian and Benecian, as well as Italian and Spanish. Their early breakthrough came in 1998 when they won the Premi Friûl festival for their project Croz Sclizzâz, a collaboration with poet Fabian Riz. In 200o, Arbe Garbe released their debut album Jacume!. In 2004, their self-produced album Iubilaeum earned them the Targa Deganutti award for Best Friulian Album of the Year. In 2006, they were finalists in the Liet International festival and won the Mostre dal Cine Furlan with the video "Puar Beppin". The group released several notable albums including The Great Prova (2010), ¡Arbeit Garbeit! (2011), and Complete Communion (2012). Arbe Garbe also participated in various radio and television programs such as Caterpillar and Rai 2.
