Biography

Ann-Louise Hanson, born Inger Ann Louise Hansson on April 4, 1944, in Kristianstad, Sweden, is a Swedish schlager singer. She began her musical journey in the mid-1950s and achieved her first significant success with "Är du ensam i kväll?" in 1960, a Swedish adaptation of Elvis Presley's "Are You Lonesome Tonight?". Throughout the 1960s, many of Hanson’s solo recordings featured Bruno Glenmark's Orkester. In 1962, she performed one of her songs in the German preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Following her marriage to Bruno Glenmark, they formed the group Glenmarks with his niece Karin and nephew Anders. Together, they established their own record label, GlenDisc, producing vinyl, cassettes, and eventually CDs under Hanson-Glenmark Production AB. Hanson participated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen competition thirteen times, entering songs such as "Bara en enda gång" and "Kärleken lever". The album Duva – Flyg igen ("Doves – Fly Again") was released in 1986. In 2019, she returned to Melodifestivalen with the song "Kärleken finns kvar".
