Biography
Anihilated is a British thrash metal band from Ipswich formed in 1980 under the name Prospex. Founded by bassist Lee Hittman alongside vocalist Kelvin and guitarist Mark, they recruited drummer Paul "Bod" Rodwell and renamed themselves The Anihilated before removing the article and the second "n" from the spelling. After Kelvin and Mark were replaced by Andy Septic and Simon Cobb, they released the demo How Much More (1983), featuring the track âBook of Deathâ. Cobb later took over vocals, and guitarist Mark Beuchet joined them for the demo Speedwell (1985). They recorded the EP Path to Destruction (1986) in Norwich, which led to their signing and the release of the debut studio album Created in Hate (1988). They issued The Ultimate Desecration (1989) before Hittman and Beuchet departed in 1990. The band disbanded ca. 1990 but reunited in 2010. They subsequently signed with Killer Metal Records and released the album Scorched Earth Policy (2010).
