Andreas Dombert, born on November 29, 1979, in Straubing, Germany, is a guitarist known for his work in jazz and pop/rock music. He studied jazz guitar at the Musikhochschule Nürnberg-Augsburg from 2000 to 2004 under Helmut Kagerer and Paulo Morello. Dombert's early career included memberships in ensembles such as the Bundesjazzorchester and the Claudia Koreck Band, with whom he released Fliang in 2007, reaching number 15 on the German album charts. In 2010, Dombertâs Urban Jazz released Chameleon, followed by 16/8 in 2013. He has collaborated with various artists, including Elli Erl and Georg Ringsgwandl. In 2014, Dombert released his debut album Duo with Chris Gall. His trio album 35, featuring Jochen Rückert and Henning Sieverts, was released in 2016. He received a nomination for the EchoJazz Guitar national award in 2017.
