Biography
AMWE is a Japanese singer-songwriter known for her work in New Wave and electronica music. She made her debut with the album I am AMWE on October 7, 2009, under Pure Groove Records. Her breakthrough came when she received an invitation from French electronic music label Kitsuné to remix a song and feature her track "Friction Between the Lovers" on their compilation album Kitsuné Maison 8. She won the Japanese leg of the Diesel U Music competition in 2009. In September 2010, she released her second album Girls. AMWE was selected as one of the 10 Best New Artists in 2010 for Japan Sound of 2010.
