Allele, an American alternative metal group from Jacksonville, Florida, was formed in 2002 by Wally Wood on vocals, Kelly Hayes on lead guitar, Lane Maverick on rhythm guitar, Tim Tobin on bass, and Nathan Grimes on drums. Allele's album, Point of Origin, was released in 2005 under Corporate Punishment Records. The album received positive reviews and featured notable singles such as "Closer to Habit" and "Stitches". After a six-year hiatus, Allele returned with their album, Next to Parallel, in 2011. This album showcased the band's evolution and included standout tracks like "What I Get", "Drone", and "Dead and Cold". In 2013, they released the Allele EP, which featured remakes of five songs from their first album.
