Biography

Ai Kuwabara, born 桑原 あい on September 21, 1991 in Chiba, Japan, is a jazz pianist and composer. She began her musical journey at Senzoku Gakuen High School, graduating as a jazz piano major in 2010. Kuwabara's early career saw her performing at notable events such as the UNICEF Charity Concert and International Junior Original Concert. Her first album, from here to there, was released nationally in Japan via EWE Records in November 2012. The following year, she released her second album, THE SIXTH SENSE, which was inspired by her interest in psychology and cognitive science. Kuwabara performed at the Sapporo City Jazz Festival 2013 and the 12th Tokyo Jazz Festival in September of the same year. She has won multiple awards, including gold medals at the All-Japan Yamaha Electone Contest.
